About five years ago I first got into leather carving, but then I quit for some reason. It was recently Devon’s birthday so I decided it was a good reason to get back into it, and make him the belt he had been asking for for a few years now. Below are some pictures of it at various stages of completion. Hope you enjoy.

IneedAclearerHeadtoSeewhatThisIsworth is a movie with a loose narrative, which uses the Fisher Price PXL 2000, a rare camera from 1987 that uses audio cassettes to record video.

This low-tech consumer model children’s video camera is used to create a work that examines one’s headspace as a “place” one can get lost in. It allows the viewer to enter a place that can be dark, eerie, complicated and full of proverbial trap doors and mazes. The pixelated format of the PXL 2000 is an appropriate medium to portray the fuzziness and imperfections of one’s own cognitive processes.
It also examines the extrinsic and intrinsic factors that affect these perceptions through allusions to the artist’s memories and experiences. The work’s intent is too create a relationship between the complexity of our thoughts and the lenses we view our world through .The low-tech capturing device draws comparisons to our brains ability and inability to take in and process information into our headspace and either project those views onto the world or keep them inside to ourselves.

Edmonton Premiere of “No Joke” Thursday Night!

Our friends at NuuLife Cinema will be premiering their newest release “No Joke” in Edmonton this Thursday, October 28th.
The movie looks great and has a few local riders in it, Dan ZImmerman, Jason Gretzinger, and a cameo by James Agostinho.
The amazingly supportive Solid Snowboard and Skateboard Shop is putting this one on in association with Push.ca

Heaps and heaps of free prizes.

Come out and support grassroots snowboard moviemakers and catch the new Transworld movie too!(Those guys get paid though haha)

Our friends over at NuuLife Cinema in Whistler have made it to Round Two in the Superpark Sunday Showdown
